Malang <\/strong>\u2014 The Doctoral Program (S3) in Guidance and Counseling (BK) at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) conducted a field assessment with assessors from the Independent Education Accreditation Agency<\/em> (LAMDIK) on Saturday (May 23) at the Shared Lecture Building (GKB) A19, 4th floor, UM. This activity serves as a strategic step in strengthening the academic quality assurance system sustainably. <\/p>\n\n

The field assessment featured two assessors: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur Wangid, M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Dwi Yuwono Puji Sugiharto, M.Pd., Kons. Both conducted direct verification of various documents and data previously uploaded by the UM Doctoral Program in Guidance and Counseling through the LAMDIK system.<\/p>\n\n

The Coordinator of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Guidance and Counseling at UM, Prof. Dr. Muslihati, S.Ag., M.Pd., emphasized that the field assessment is a crucial stage in the accreditation process as it serves as a momentum for a comprehensive evaluation of the program’s quality.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cWith accreditation, specifically the field assessment, we can conduct a self-evaluation that will be useful for developing follow-up actions and continuous quality improvement,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n\n

In addition to reviewing documents, the assessor team also conducted interviews with lecturers, students, alumni, and educational staff. This step was taken to ensure consistency between the data in the Self-Evaluation Report<\/em> (LED) and the actual conditions on the ground. <\/p>\n\n

Prof. Muslihati explained that preparations for the assessment have been underway for the past year. These preparations included drafting the Study Program Performance Document<\/em> (DKPS), refining supporting evidence, organizing facilities and infrastructure, and strengthening the learning system and academic services. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cPreparing for a field assessment does not mean polishing something that doesn’t exist, but rather how the things we already have can be presented more effectively,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n

Meanwhile, a lecturer in Guidance and Counseling at UM, Prof. Dr. Hj. Nur Hidayah, M.Pd., mentioned that the field assessment also reviewed nine accreditation criteria. The evaluation covered vision and mission, governance, students, human resources, finance, the learning process, research, community service, and the internal quality assurance system.<\/p>\n\n

Through this assessment, UM strengthens its commitment to providing high-quality higher education capable of producing excellent, professional, and globally competitive Guidance and Counseling graduates. These efforts are also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals<\/em> (SDGs), particularly the fourth goal regarding Quality Education<\/em>, by strengthening academic quality and raising higher education standards in Indonesia. <\/p>\n\n
