Submission of UM Plaque to school representatives

Poor. The Merdeka Belajar Campus is one of the breakthroughs made by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdikbud RI) Nadiem Makarim. Merdeka Campus is a manifestation of student-centered learning (student centered learning) which is essential. Learning in the Independent Campus provides challenges and opportunities for the development of innovation, creativity, capacity, personality and student needs, as well as developing student independence. The concept of this program is that students have the opportunity to study outside the study program.

The 2020 Perintis Teaching Campus (KMP) will be completed on Monday (18/1) after students complete their final report. This activity is a student social activity to help elementary school (SD) teachers to teach and assist for 3 months during this pandemic. The activity was attended by 2500 students from various study programs and universities in Indonesia. The aim of KMP 2020 students will have the opportunity to hone their leadership spirit and character as well as teaching experience in elementary schools. In total, there were 7 students of State University of Malang (UM) who had the opportunity to help at SDN Penanggungan, namely Fika Aghnia Rahma, Nuri Riskian, Nurul Faiza, Tanty Tsamrotunnaja, Intan Dewi Khusna, Lukky Reza Rahmadani, and Umniya Juman Rosida. Many things become lessons for students when implementing KMP 2020. Such as the limitations of teachers to carry out online learning during this pandemic, many students do not have smartphones and some are brought by their parents. This is one of the things that KMP 2020 students need to help with, besides learning, it also helps make the SIPASI SDN Penanggungan application.

Intan Dewi Khusna, one of the 2020 KMP students, expressed her happiness to be part of this program. "I am happy to be part of KMP 2020, besides adding to my experience, it also provides a lot of learning. Because teaching elementary school students is different from teaching SMP and SMA. Of course it takes extraordinary patience and diligence to teach literacy and numeracy as desired by the Minister.

But that's the art because here I can simultaneously learn to be a patient and painstaking mother, "he said. This activity was closed with a symbolic cutting of tumpeng and handing over a placard to give a memento to SDN Penanggungan. Do not forget to express the gratitude represented by the Advisor to SDN Penanggungan. Until a group photo is a sign that we were once part of the first batch of KMP 2020.
