Educational and Learning Development Institute (LP3)

Educational and Learning Development Institute (Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran/LP3) is one of the academic units in the field of education and learning. The unit carries the institutional mission to develop teaching staff’s teaching competence and professionalism, to support the curriculum development in each study program, to conduct evaluations of teaching staffs’ professional development programs and curriculum implementation, to coordinate teaching and learning process at the university level. It also facilitates efforts to improve and develop learning media and fieldwork programs, teacher professional training, student counseling and harmonious interfaith relationship on campus. The institute is in control of seven activity centers: (1) Center for Curriculum Development and Learning Program (P2KPP), (2) Center of University Subject Development (P2MU), (3) Learning Resource Center (Pusat Sumber Belajar, PSB), (4) Center for Development of Fieldwork Program (P4L), (5) Center for Teacher Professional Development (P4G), (6) Student Guidance and Counseling Center (P2BKM), and Center for Interfaith Relationship Development (P2KB).

Facilities

Facilities currently available at this unit are: (1) projection room (playback), (2) media production room, (3) microteaching room, (4) a studio for developing learning resources with comprehensive library that houses 1,162 collection items on the subject of learning, and (5) a studio for dedicated for film and audio-visual production.

Outstanding Activities

Activities of this office include Pekerti and Applied Approach Training; scientific publication in the form of the nationally accredited journal “Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran”; development of innovative learning media; development of the Teacher Professional Education (Pendidikan Profesi Guru/PPG); SM-3T program; TEQIP program; test-item pooling for university admission test (SBMPTN); online lecture for general and specific courses; workshop on web-based learning development; workshop on web-based learning design; development of digital learning materials; fieldwork program in Thailand; teacher professional development (SM-3T program); psychological tests; development of a testing center for high school and university admission process; assistance and training for Hajj Pilgrims and Center for Religious Consultancy.
