National Selection is a selection process conducted by the National New Student Admission Selection Committee (SNPMB) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, which includes SNBP and SNBT.
Independent Selection
Independent Selection is a selection pathway conducted independently by UM, including: Achievement Pathway, Leadership Pathway, UTBK-SNBT Score Pathway, Computer-Based Independent Test Pathway, Partnership Pathway, and International Class Independent Selection.

Registration Information
UM organizes Independent Selection to admit new Master's and Doctoral program students for the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This selection is conducted to screen prospective Master's and Doctoral students for the Coursework (Regular) or Research (by Research) pathways.
Double Degree
The Master of Educational Technology (M.Pd) & Designing Education (M.A.) Double Degree Program is a flagship program resulting from a global partnership between two leading higher education institutions in Indonesia and the UK. This program is organized by the Department of Educational Technology, Universitas Negeri Malang, and the Department of Design, Goldsmiths, UK.
Teacher Professional Education
The Teacher Professional Education Study Program (Prodi PPG) is one of the study programs at UM, whose main task is to provide professional education for teachers and prospective teachers. Prodi PPG has been granted permission to conduct professional education for 37 fields of study.
Engineer Professional Program (PPI)
The UM Engineer Professional Program (PPI) is a professional study program organized by UM to educate Bachelor of Engineering (ST or STT) and Non- Engineering/Science Bachelors (S.Si, SPdT, SST) who are equivalent to the engineering field to obtain the title of Engineer (Ir).

Fee Information
The education fees for new students admitted to UM consist of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and the Institutional Development Contribution (IPI). UKT is adjusted to the economic capacity of the student's parents/guardians and is paid each semester.
UKT Categories
Generally, student UKT groups are divided into 7 to 10 categories according to the study program. Meanwhile, the Partnership, International Class, Foreign Citizen (WNA), and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathways only have one UKT category.
Scholarship Registration
UM Scholarship registration is done online through the beasiswa.um.ac.id page by filling out the form and following the steps provided on the UM Scholarship page.
