Malang – The intense job competition in the digital era has driven the birth of new innovations in career preparation. Originating from a course assignment, the artificial intelligence platform Intervyou has now evolved into a technology startup that helps students and career switchers improve their readiness to enter the professional world.

Developed by the academic community of Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) through a network of alumni and students, Intervyou serves as an AI-Powered Career Preparation Coach offering integrated career preparation services, ranging from Applicant Tracking System (ATS)-based CV creation and CV score analysis to cover letter generation and AI-based interview simulations.

One of the developers of Intervyou, Azarya Aditya, a student of the Undergraduate Informatics Engineering Study Program at UM, stated that the platform was initially just a class project before eventually being developed into a technology startup.

“Initially, this was just a college project. However, after seeing the potential in the field of career preparation, we began developing it seriously until it reached the production stage and was officially launched on June 10, 2025,” said Azarya during an interview with the UM Public Relations Team on Wednesday (5/6).

He explained that the main advantage of Intervyou lies in its adaptive and personalized system. Users are asked to input data regarding the job position they are applying for, the company name, and the job description. Subsequently, the AI system generates interview question simulations relevant to the user’s needs. The application system also provides free services for beginners, which can be accessed directly at https://intervyou.me.

“The questions provided are tailored to the CV and the position applied for, making the practice experience feel more realistic and personal,” he said.

Beyond focusing on technological development, Intervyou has also successfully gained international recognition after joining the Google for Startups Cloud Program and the NVIDIA Inception Program. This support assists in the development of the technological infrastructure and AI computing used by the platform.

In facing competition in the digital industry, the Intervyou team routinely conducts market research and competitor analysis to ensure the developed services remain relevant to the needs of the professional world. This strategy is implemented to strengthen their position as an innovator in AI-based career preparation platforms in Indonesia.

In terms of accessibility, Intervyou implements a token-based system. New users can try the service for free using the initial tokens provided, while further access can be obtained by purchasing additional tokens. This scheme is considered capable of keeping the service inclusive for various groups.

Interestingly, the Intervyou development team is dominated by UM students and alumni collaborating with several talents from across different campuses. Currently, the startup has also begun to expand its impact through collaborations with SMK Telkom Malang and SMK Telkom Purwokerto.

Moving forward, Intervyou aims to become an AI platform capable of transforming the entire job recruitment process, from the candidate preparation stage to company evaluation.

“We want to help anyone who is preparing for their career. Many people feel nervous during job interviews. With sufficient practice and an interactive system, we hope users can become more confident,” said Azarya.

The presence of Intervyou aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 regarding quality education and Goal 8 regarding decent work and economic growth. This innovation demonstrates that AI-based technology can be a solution for increasing the readiness of the young workforce while addressing the challenges of unemployment in the digital era.
