Poor. Carrying out the mandate as an educator in higher education is something noble, but it does not rule out that the task is not only as an educator. One of them is when it is trusted by universities to take on additional assignments. On Wednesday (30/1), at the Sasana Budaya Universitas Malang (UM), Prof. Dr. AH. Rofi'uddin, M.Pd, as the Chancellor inaugurated 94 lecturers with additional assignments. The officials appointed include the Secretary of the Department, the coordinator of the Study Program, the head of the program, the director of International Relations, the director of the Language and Culture Center, and the director of the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA).    

The inauguration takes place, of course, followed by the reading of the oath of office which indicates changes and improvements in each period that will be carried out. The UM Chancellor expressed his gratitude to the officials who had served in the previous period and hoped for an increase with the inauguration. In his speech, UM Rector revealed how important the role of lecturers was with the additional assignments that had just been appointed. Responding to the position of UM which successfully entered Cluster 1 of Indonesian Non-Vocational Higher Education 2018 with the 14th rank, he said that the target in 2019 UM was able to increase its ranking position.

"We must continue to work hard together to improve UM ranking and the end of this success also depends on ladies and gentlemen. Publication is also a very important point so it must be improved. So that at the end of the position, UM will be able to enter the top 10 best, "he said.

Apart from being attended by UM structural officials, the families of the lecturers who were inaugurated were also present. After the oath-taking procession, the inaugurated officials sign the handover letter.
