Poor. In order to mediate current gender issues and explain the importance of gender education from an early age, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) State University of Malang (UM) held a guest lecture with the theme "Gender and Learning". The activity which was held on Thursday November 14, took place in the 9th Floor of the Graha Rectorate Hall, attended by S1 to S3 students of the UM Letters Faculty and Senior High School (SMA) Teachers in Malang. Gender issues that are present in the midst of society need a solution in responding to them.

Because of this, the organizers attended the photo together with the lecturers who were experienced and experts in their fields, namely Prof. DR. NIK Maheran NIK Muhammad as Senior Director, University of Malaysia Kelantan and Dr. Azizatus Zahro, S.Pd, M. Pd as the Head of the Center for Gender and Health LP2M.

The two resource persons presented 2 different but relevant materials to contemporary gender issues. The material presented by the first speaker was entitled Gender Responsive Education and for the next material delivered by the second speaker, namely Gesi Perspective in Learning.

Prof. DR. Nik Maheran Nik Muhammad said that gender does not only discuss women but also men in it. He also said that gender equality in Malaysia has been around for a long time. The hope is that by discussing gender issues it can create a better life by balancing the portions of men and women accordingly.

“Indonesia and Malaysia are 2 Islamic countries that are not much different, it's just that in terms of gender equality, Malaysia has started implementing this for a long time. In this case, Malaysia believes that the large quantity and high quality of women in government can increase income per capita / year. But on the other hand, women who work from home and can take good care of their children are also important things to be considered as the main duty of a mother, "he said.

At the end of the event, the event was closed by giving souvenirs and continued with a group photo.
