Malang- State University of Malang (UM) through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) again dispatched Real Work College (KKN) students on Thursday, April 4, 2019. This time, 49 UM students will serve 3 villages in Malang Regency. over the next 45 days. The three villages are Pagelaran Village, Pagelaran District, Sumberagung Village, Ngantang District and Sumberejo Village, Gedangan District.

Of the 49 students, 40 students came from the Fashion Design Education Study Program and 9 students came from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Engineering Education and PGSD.

Head of the Center for Regional Resource Development and Real Work Lecture (P2SWKKN), Dr. Agung Winarno, MM explained that the second batch of KKN was devoted to the thematic of pioneering batik villages, because the majority of students who participated came from the Fashion Design Education Study Program and they had competences in that field. Apart from the main program, other programs that will be carried out by students include training and assistance to improve the quality of village services, economic empowerment and assistance in strengthening the quality of schools, including building a learning culture for children and adolescents.

"I hope you will maintain the good name of UM, carry out the program that has been planned, and be active in activities with the community," the Head of PSDWKKN said during the departure ceremony.
