Surabaya. Monday (28/01) State University of Malang (UM) signed an internship cooperation agreement with one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) PT. Pelindo 3 Group in the 2019 Certified Student Internship Program (PMMB). Located at the Orchid Auditorium Building A, Jl. Perak Timur No. 610 Surabaya as many as 13 public and private universities from all over Indonesia sent their students to attend the PMMB 2019 opening. There were 68 students who took part in this PMMB from different majors and study programs.

With an internship of up to 6 months, it is hoped that it will be able to foster a lot of work ethic and experience for students so that Indonesia's demographic bonus in the future will be an advantage for Indonesia. The facilities provided to students who are interns are pocket money, housing assistance, transportation assistance, food allowances and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. In addition, a certificate from BUMN is also given

UM students who take part in this program are Hario Jaladhiyan from Electrical Engineering, Arna Salsabila from Civil, Zaenal Bahrur Roziki from Psychology, Aliffah Kurnia Anggraeni from English Literature, Maura Salma Amalia and Deyan Elsavachernisa from Educational Technology (TEP).

Director of Human Resources (HR) PT. Pelindo 3 Toto Heli Yanto revealed the benefits of joining this apprenticeship program.

"Certificate from PT. Pelindo 3 Group will be an added value for you if you are looking for work. Take advantage of 6 months to learn as much as possible about work ethic, management in our company. With this certificate, when you pass, you can register and become part of the big family of PT. Pelindo 3 Group, "he said.

"While here you will have classroom learning and practice which we will evaluate every month. In addition, we will also be given projects whose results will be used for innovation in our company. In the end, you will be required to present in front of me to explain your innovations for this company, ”he said

"We hope that this program is recommended for students who are currently following their thesis and have graduated while waiting to get their first job," he said while ending his speech.

The event ended with the appearance of a drama entitled 'Titah Dewa Ruci' and giving souvenirs in the form of a replica of the Dewaruci ship by apprentices at PT. Pelindo 3. Followed by a group photo and the pronunciation of Pelindo 3's chants, namely 'Beyond Port of Indonesia '.
