Poor. In an atmosphere of commemoration of World Tree Day (March 20) and World Water Day (March 22), UM continued KKN students from the Langlang Village Group, Singosari District, held extension activities and tree seed planting. The activity took the theme "Care for the Environment, Greening Nature".

Before planting tree seedlings, residents who were the target of the activity were given counseling the day before on Saturday, March 23, 2019. The counseling was held in the Hall of the Smart House of Langlang Village 4 by inviting a resource person from the East Java Provincial Forestry Service UPT PHW V Malang, Mr. Mukti. In this case the speakers conveyed the importance of implementing greening the environment, especially in the current global warming conditions. In addition, he also explained how to plant good tree seedlings by adjusting soil and environmental conditions. Langlang Village is located in the plain area of Mount Arjuno and has very favorable soil conditions for planting fruit tree seeds, including tree seeds to be planted in this activity, namely soursop, jackfruit and rambutan.

A day after the counseling, on Sunday, March 24, 2019, the community of Langlang Village and UM KKN students, which number reached 40 people, went straight to the planting location. The location is at Sumber Mata Air Pakis Uceng, Langlang Hamlet. There are 100 tree seedlings planted.

This tree seed planting activity is expected to contribute to the Langlang Village environment, especially in the Langlang 1 hamlet area. Apart from the benefits of greening nature, it is hoped that after the tree seeds grow big the community can take advantage of the fruits produced by each tree. Furthermore, oriented to the planning of a Tourism Village in Langlang Village, the community can also develop the Uceng Pakis Spring as a fruit picking tourism area that will generate economic income for the village and the surrounding community.

This is in line with what was conveyed by Mr. Muhammad Faiz, one of the people around Sumber Mata Pakis Uceng. The man who works as one of the village officials said, "Alhamdulillah, I would like to thank the students of KKN UM, I hope the community can maintain the trust of this tree seedling (caring for tree seedlings). Hopefully when the trees are grown, the community can make the best use of the fruit from the trees. Moreover, later we can initiate a Fruit Picking Park here, so that it can become a source of income for the community. " he concluded.
