DR. ARQOM KUSWANJONO, M.Hum in delivering the material

Poor. The Institute for Educational and Learning Development (LP3) State University of Malang (UM) has held a 2019 National Seminar on Universiter Courses (MKU) which was held on Monday (11/11) in the 9th Floor Hall of the UM Rectorate Graha and started at 08.00 WIB. This seminar carries the theme "Towards a New Paradigm of Character Education in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0". The main speakers in the seminar were Dr, Arqom Kuswanjono, M, Hum, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy from Gajah Mada University (UGM). The seminar was attended by UM students who were taking MKU and teachers from Malang City.

As the main resource, Dr., Arqom Kuswanjono, M, Hum said that students in the era of the 4.0 revolution must be faced with global challenges so that they need the abilities that students must have. Skills that must be mastered include basic literacy, competency abilities and most importantly character quality.

The activity was opened by the Secretary of LP3 UM, namely Dr. Hardika, M.Pd, who in the reception explained about the Universiter Subject.

"Students invited to this activity are students who are currently taking MKU. There are several MKUs in UM, namely Religious Education, Pancasila Education, Citizenship Education, and Indonesian Language Education. There is a new course currently running which is Innovation Management which is expected to become a compulsory and superior subject at UM along with the changes in the life-based UM curriculum. There are 3 more courses for educational students, namely Student Development, Introduction to Educational Science and Learning and Learning.

Furthermore, the Secretary of LP3 UM also explained that life today seeks to link and be connected with changes in information and technology or what is known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and all of that also changes the patterns and character of humans today.
