Creative Entrepreneurship Branch Final Round

Poor. PKM Center, State University of Malang (UM) held an online competition for Young Creative Idea, which was open for registration on 30 April. This competition was held with the aim that students in Indonesia continue to hone their creativity and continue to work even though they are being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The theme raised was adapted to current conditions so that his work and creativity could provide direct benefits to society. The theme is Collaboration to Prevent and Handle Covid-19 as Real Action for Indonesian Students.

Creative Entrepreneurship Final Round

"During this pandemic, student activities are at home. We hope that the students' creativity will not die even at home. So, we bridge student creativity and productivity by holding this event. It turned out that the enthusiasm of these Indonesian students was very high, as evidenced by the number of participants who had registered and submitted their works.

Thank you, the creative ideas from the participants brought the atmosphere that the Covid-19 phenomenon was not an obstacle to increasing creativity, staying enthusiastic and increasing productivity, "said Dr. Henny Kusdyanti as the Chief Executive of the Young Creative Idea.

YCI Jury

There were four competitions that were competed, namely Written Ideas, Posters, Videos, and Creative Entrepreneurship. This competition was attended by 1673 teams from all universities in Indonesia with the following details: 481 teams from 130 universities (Written Ideas), 857 teams from 169 universities (Poster), 154 teams from 75 universities (Video), and 158 teams from 56 PT (Creative Entrepreneurship). Participants send works via email to the committee, so that participants do not need to visit UM.

Announcement of Creative Entrepreneurship Champions

Of the 1673 teams, PKM Center announced the 10 teams with the best scores for each branch that made it to the final round on Monday (15/06). Specifically for the Creative Entrepreneurship branch, the final participants are required to present their work virtually through Google Meet. The final assessment was held on Monday (22/06) and was attended by 10 teams with works of entrepreneurs who took advantage of opportunities during this pandemic. Then, the announcement of the championship was announced live on the YCI Instagram account (yci_um) on Thursday (25/06).

"Alhamdulillah, in this pandemic situation the students are still extraordinary. I really appreciate it because the creative ideas displayed in the writings, posters and videos I think are of high quality. They show very tight competition between the participants with each other.
