Poor. State University of Malang (UM) is the host for the working meeting of Student Sports Council V (BAPOMI) East Java on Thursday (16/01). This activity was attended by the chairman of BAPOMI, namely Dr. Mu'arifin, M.Pd and all of its members. The meeting discussed the report on the departure of the East Java contingent in the 2019 National Student Sports Week (POMNAS), the disbandment of the contingent and several work programs that will be carried out over the next few years.

The head of Bapomi stated that the East Java BAPOMI currently has a slogan that can raise the enthusiasm of all its members as well as the theme of this Working Meeting. "BAPOMI is 3 Si, Successful Achievement, Academic Success and Professional Success!" echoed the Head of Bapomi who is the Deputy Rector III of UM. He also opened, accompanied, and closed the event which lasted until that evening.

Remarks by UM Vice Rector III

The East Java contingent in the 2019 POMNAS won 22 gold medals which finally placed East Java in 3rd place after DKI and West Java. This is a good achievement that should be maintained or even improved as much as possible in the next POMNAS. Therefore, in this meeting, Bapomi will fully discuss the reports on the income of funds, their use, training, the condition of athletes during implementation, any shortcomings that occur in the field and others. Evaluation for evaluation is discussed thoroughly. Not only that, solutions related to these deficiencies were also proposed, so that they could become a reference for the next contingent departures at POMNAS.

"All our endeavors are doing is how we optimize all the potential that East Java has, how to elevate East Java's dignity through sports," said Mu'arifin in his speech. Furthermore, the discussion regarding several future work programs that will be worked on by BAPOMI East Java in the future will be thoroughly discussed and finished at night.
