Taking the oath of office

Poor. State University of Malang (UM) is increasingly showing its existence as a superior campus and a reference in learning innovation. This can be seen from their readiness to provide study programs needed by students and to be able to contribute to the progress of the nation. This year, UM established a new study program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Science (FMIPA), namely the S-1 Biotechnology Study Program. Wednesday (19/02) Evi Susanti, S.Si., M.Sc., the first coordinator of the study program was officially appointed.

The inauguration ceremony which was held at the FMIPA Hall, O1 Building, 2nd floor, was attended by the Dean of FMIPA UM Prof. Dr. Hadi Suwonno, M.Si., Head of General and Finance Bureau Drs. H. Amin Sidiq, M.Pd., Deputy Dean I of FMIPA Dr. Sisworo, S.Pd, M.Si, heads of departments from each department at FMIPA, and heads of study programs at FMIPA. Beginning with singing the Indonesian song Raya, the event which began at 14.00 WIB was solemn. Followed by reading the holy verses of the Koran and reading the Rector's Decree.

Before entering the main event, namely taking the oath of office, the inauguration manuscript was read out by the Dean of FMIPA. The next procession was the signing of the oath of office by the Dean of FMIPA Prof. Hadi Suwono, Head of General and Finance Bureau Drs. H. Amin Sidiq, Vice Dean I Dr. Sisworo, as well as the Coordinator of the S-1 Biotechnology Study Program Evi Susanti, S.Si., M. Si.

"I hope that this study program can be more advanced than his brothers (study programs that have been established earlier), but the older siblings must be more advanced," said Prof. In his speech, Hadi Suwono was greeted with warm laughter from the invited guests. Even though his presence is a challenge because he doesn't have permanent lecturers in his study program, he hopes that this problem can be resolved in the hands of Evi Susanti S.Si., M.Sc. "There must be a synergy between this study program and others, especially the biology and chemistry majors, because both are the basis for the development of biotechnology," he said.
