Poor. Assesor Team ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) conducted a visitation at the State University of Malang (UM). Eight assessor who come from Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam will deliver assessment of the four study programs in two faculties, namely; Indonesian and Regional Literature Language Education Study Program and English Language Education at the Faculty of Letters (FS), and Biology and Physics Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). Para  assessor accepted by the UM Rector, Prof. Dr. AH. Rofi'uddin, M.Pd in the Senate Meeting Room, 9th floor of the UM Rectorate Graha, Tuesday, May 21 2019.

 "Apart from the national level quality assessment by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) from the Ministry of Research and Technology, we also welcome the assessment at the ASEAN level. This is an improvement in the quality of UM study programs at the ASEAN level, "said UM Rector, Prof. Dr. AH. Rofi'uddin, M.Pd.

This visitation will last for three days (21-23 May 2019). The first day of activities focused on presentations from each study program, visits to study program locations, and meetings with academic staff. The second day, assessor will hold meetings with students, alumni, employees, and heads of departments. Then on the last day, a presentation of the results will be held assessment by the assessor of each study program and closing.

Each study program will be assessed by two AUN-QA assessors. The assessor for the Indonesian and Regional Literature Language Education study program is Asst. Prof. Dr. Ornlatcha Sivarak (Thailand) and Mr. Prem Anand (Malaysia). Meanwhile the assessor of the English Education study program was Prof. Dr. Clatrita Carillo (Philippines) and Asst. Prof. Nimit Mengyeha (Thailand). The assessors for the Biology study program are Prof. Dr. Yahaya Md. Sam (Malaysia) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gerardo Largoza (Philipines). Furthermore, the assessor for the Physics study program was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen (Vietnam) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thasaneeya Ratanaroutai N (Thailand).
